Tom and Jenny Smith and family purchased the Henty Hill Vineyard in 1980 and, in 1990, founded Tyagarah Estate Winery to produce world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Shiraz wines reflecting the character and terroir of the Northern Rivers Region.
Our first commercial wines were released in 1998 with the 1996 vintages of Chardonnay and Shiraz.
